| Population Estimates
The Census Bureau publishes population estimates each year for present and past data. Federal funding allocations use these estimates as denominators for vital rates and per capita time series, as survey controls, and in monitoring recent demographic changes. Each year in July, the Census Bureau releases new estimates and revises estimates for earlier years which are then superseded and archived. All data in this section are produced by the US Census Bureau. Select the links below for the US Census Bureau website, which explains the methodology, and for the past and present reports.
